Camouflage as the feature
Every other shape in this category solves an angle problem. The Heart Wedge solves a social one: it can sit on the bed all day and read as decor, so it never has to be retrieved from a closet or explained.
That matters more than it sounds. The cushions people actually use are the ones that stay accessible, and the ones that stay accessible are the ones that do not need hiding.
What you give up
Lift is the first casualty — the silhouette is shallower than the standard Wedge. Cleaning is the second, because decor fabrics and faux fur are more delicate than plain microvelvet, and the moisture barrier is the part of the construction that matters most in this category.
