Most travel pillows are one of two things: an inflatable wedge that feels like sleeping on a beach ball, or a compressible foam block that never quite feels like your pillow at home. Coop's approach is simply to shrink the Original — same adjustable memory-foam-and-microfibre fill, same washable Lulltra cover, in a 19 x 13 in body that compresses into an included stuff sack.
It is a car-camping and road-trip pillow more than a backpacking one, and it is honest about that once you see the numbers.

Yes for road trips, car camping, and hotel stays where the pillows are unknown. Backpackers counting grams should look at an inflatable instead.

Packability, honestly
36 oz is over two pounds, and 10 x 6 in compressed is roughly a large water bottle. That is fine in a car boot or strapped to the outside of a duffel, and it is a lot in a 40-litre backpack where an inflatable pillow weighs 3 oz and packs to the size of an apple. Buy this for comfort per night, not grams per litre.
Why the adjustability matters more when travelling
At home you set your loft once. Travelling, you are sleeping on unfamiliar mattresses, air mattresses, and pads of wildly different firmness, and the loft your neck needs shifts with each of them. Being able to pull a handful of fill out on a soft air mattress and put it back on a firm cot is genuinely useful, and no fixed-shape travel pillow lets you do it.
Feel versus the full-size Original
It is the same fill, so the feel carries over — but at 19 x 13 in there is much less pillow to spread your head across, and side sleepers will notice they run out of surface when they roll. It is a competent single-position pillow rather than a shrunken bed pillow.
Care
The cover is machine washable, which matters more for a pillow that goes camping than one that stays on a bed. Air the fill out after damp trips before stuffing it back in the sack.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Real adjustable fill in a travel size
- Washable cover and included stuff sack
- Same certified foam as the full-size Original
- $45 is reasonable for a brand-direct travel pillow
Cons
- Too heavy and bulky for backpacking
- Small surface area for side sleepers who roll
- Not a neck pillow — no airline seat support
- Foam fill traps more heat than an inflatable

Final verdict
The closest thing to bringing your own bed pillow that still fits in a stuff sack. Weight is the price you pay.
