Mr. Squish Score
8.4/ 10

Birch — Helix's natural brand — builds its Organic Pillow from a shredded natural latex core wrapped in organic wool and an organic cotton cover, stacking organic and responsible-material certifications.

The wool wrap is the clever part: it softens latex's bounce just enough to feel pillow-like while keeping the responsive support.

Latex plus wool: how it feels

Shredded latex alone can feel springy to the point of restless. The wool batting between core and cover absorbs some of that bounce and adds surface softness, landing the feel between a latex pillow and a plush fiber pillow.

Temperature behavior

Latex's open structure and wool's moisture-wicking are both documented material properties associated with temperature-neutral sleep. Mr. Squish has not instrumented this pillow, but its construction is one of the strongest natural-fiber cooling designs on paper.

vs Coyuchi's molded latex

Coyuchi uses a solid molded Dunlop core — firmer, more uniform, profile-based sizing. Birch's shredded core is more moldable and slightly softer. Choose Coyuchi for firm consistency, Birch for a plusher natural feel.
