Mr. Squish Score
8.9/ 10

Coop's Body Pillow takes the adjustable shredded-fill formula from the Original and stretches it to full body length, giving side sleepers and pregnant sleepers something to support hips, knees and arms at once.

Because the fill is adjustable, it can be a firm bolster or a soft cuddle pillow depending on how much you take out.

Firmness and feel

Straight from the box it's firm and dense — a genuine support bolster rather than a floppy cuddle pillow. Remove fill and it softens quickly, so both preferences are achievable from the same product.

Support by sleep position

Side sleepers place it between the knees and hug the top half; this keeps the top leg from dragging the hips out of alignment, which is the most common cause of lower-back ache in side sleeping.

Pregnant sleepers use it to support the bump and the upper knee. Back sleepers can tuck it under the knees instead.

Cooling performance

Same limitation as the Original: shredded memory foam holds some warmth, and a body pillow means more contact area. The bamboo-derived cover helps but hot sleepers will notice it.

Materials and construction

A long zippered case with the same CertiPUR-US and GREENGUARD Gold certified fill Coop uses elsewhere. Seams are reinforced along the length, which matters given how much a body pillow gets dragged around.

Adjustability

Excellent, and more useful here than on a head pillow — a body pillow that's too firm is uncomfortable to hug, and one that's too soft doesn't hold the knees apart. You can find the middle.

Durability and care

Held firmness across our test with occasional redistribution by hand. Machine washable, but it's bulky — a home dryer will need multiple cycles, and a laundromat machine is easier.

Who should buy it

Side sleepers with hip or lower-back discomfort, pregnant sleepers, and anyone who already hugs a pillow every night.

Who should skip it

Hot sleepers and couples in a full-size bed where a 54-inch pillow simply won't fit.

How we tested it

Every pillow in our library goes through the same routine: three weeks of nightly sleep across side, back and stomach positions, loft measured under a 10 lb head-weight load, surface temperature checked at lights-out and again after six hours, and a wash cycle to see how the cover and fill hold up. Scores above reflect that testing, not manufacturer claims.

Final verdict

The adjustable-fill formula translates well to body-pillow scale. Set the firmness once and it does more for hip alignment than any head pillow can.
