Why long-strand silk behaves differently
Long-strand silk is layered rather than stuffed, which is why it holds its distribution instead of migrating into corners. Short-fibre silk and most down do the opposite. In practice that means fewer lumps and less nightly fluffing, at the cost of any ability to adjust the loft.
Temperature
Silk and bamboo viscose are both breathable and moisture-managing, so this is a genuinely cool-sleeping pillow in the passive sense — no gels, no phase-change layers, just fibres that do not trap heat. Hot sleepers who find memory foam intolerable are the clearest audience.
Loft and position
It is a soft, relatively low pillow. Back and stomach sleepers will get on with it; side sleepers who need three or more inches of held height should look at adjustable or contoured options instead.
Care
Silk fill is not a wash-and-tumble material. Use a protector and a pillowcase, spot clean, and follow the brand's care instructions rather than improvising — heat and agitation are what damage silk fibres.
