8.9/ 10

The Scrumptious Side Pillow is HoneyDew's answer to a problem side sleepers know well: most plush pillows collapse and most supportive pillows feel like a brick. It uses a tall, generously filled shredded copper-infused foam core inside a scooped cover, so the first inch feels soft while the body of the pillow stays high.

It is also physically large. This is not a subtle pillow — it is a wide, lofty slab designed to fill the whole gap between your ear and the mattress, with a notch that gives your shoulder somewhere to go.

Should you buy it?

Yes, if you're a side sleeper who wants a plush surface without giving up loft. Pull out a handful or two of fill on the first night — it ships deliberately overstuffed.

Firmness and feel

The first impression is plush — the cover and the top layer of shredded fill give easily, which is why side sleepers who bounce off firm cervical foam tend to get along with this one. Underneath, the fill volume does the supporting, so the softness never turns into collapse.

As shipped it is too tall for most people. Removing one to two handfuls took it from a stiff, over-inflated feel to a medium that let the shoulder settle properly.

Support by sleep position

Side sleeping is the whole design brief and it delivers: the loft holds through the night and the shoulder scoop stops the pillow from wedging your arm forward, which is the usual cause of a dead, tingling arm by morning.

Combination sleepers can make it work by taking out more fill, but a back-heavy sleeper will find even the reduced loft tall. Stomach sleepers should skip it entirely.

Cooling performance

Copper-infused foam and a knit cooling cover give it a real edge over plain shredded memory foam. It does not stay cold, but the surface sheds heat when you flip it and there was no clammy patch under the head after six hours in our thermal checks.

Materials and maintenance

The zippered cover comes off easily and washes well; the shredded fill needs a ten-second fluff each morning to redistribute after a night of being compressed. HoneyDew sells extra fill separately, so you can add loft back later if you strip out too much.

Final verdict

The Scrumptious Side Pillow is one of the few pillows that manages plush and supportive at the same time, and the shoulder scoop is a real functional advantage for side sleepers. An 8.9/10 — dial the fill down on night one and it is excellent.
